Expo Antoine Pevsner

Antoine Pevsner (1886-1962) was a Russian-French sculptor and a pioneer of abstract constructivism. His artworks emphasize geometric shapes and structure. Pevsner believed in the integration of art and science, resulting in sculptures that explore complex spatial relationships. His creations, such as “Construction in Space” and “Head of a Woman”, showcase his innovative approach to materials and his pursuit of harmony between form and function. He’s influence on abstract sculpture is significant, and his work remains an example of the relationship between art and the evolving technological world in the early 20th century.

The scenography was designed with the aim of optimal presentation. Columns place the artworks at eye level, allowing visitors to observe the details clearly. A recess in the floor around the columns ensures a safe distance. The walls feature areas with the same design, and the color was chosen to highlight the artworks, creating a harmonious whole.
